Notes

  • This is currently NOT an active state tower
  • In 1915, a temporary tower is built and used through 1918.
  • In 1918, the land is purchased and a 40 FT tower with ladder and a 8 x 8 FT cab is built
  • This tower is the 30 FT tower from the former Bluff Head site in Sharon with an extension to 40 FT
  • In 1934, a new Aermotor tower is bought with ECW funds and is erected by the boys of camp 64 of the CCC
  • In 1951, two-way radios are installed. Since the site had no electrical power, a generator and batteries are installed
  • In 1963, powerlines are built to the tower
  • In 1965, a new 10 x 10 FT cab is built
  • In 1966, a fence is installed
