Notes

  • 1911-1964 razed 1978.
  • The original tower was built by the NH Timberland Owners Association, of wood with an open top. This was replaced by a steel tower 20' tall, with an enclosed cab. It was transferred to the USFS-WMNF in 1939. The steel tower was damaged in the 1938 hurricane, and rebuilt perhaps by the CCC. The WMNF Administrative Atlas describes it as "Hgt. 28'. Type CT-2, cab type R-6, built 1941. It was removed from service and destroyed in 1978.
