This
was a temporary station established by the NH Forestry Commission in 1911, and
used at least until 1914, probably because the landowner, who lived at the base,
was willing to serve as watchman. It had an excellent view of distant hills, but
the immediate area was obscured since the summit is broadly rounded. |
