This is a 1966 Aeromotor LS 40 fire tower. Selling the top 60 ft of this tower, which when assembled is 71 ft to the top of the hip roof. This tower was only recently taken down and is still in good condition. Original windows are intact and operable. Wooden stairs treads and landing planking will need to be replaced. The cabin roofing is still sound, but the sheet metal siding will need to be replaced. I can provide the sheet metal siding and stair treads and landings for an additional cost. I also offer assembly of the fire tower to completion on site for an additional charge.
This tower is disassembled and located in AuSable Forks NY.
Price is $22,500.

Possess your own piece of Adirondack history. Our all-cedar timber frame fire towers are based on the design used to locate fires in the Adirondacks for decades. Sit sixteen feet above the ground on sturdy 8x8 legs while admiring the beauty all around. We procure all white cedar locally and carefully mill each timber.
Each fire tower is built as a kit. This means material for the legs, braces, posts, flooring, and roofing (except shingles) is included, along with the fasteners needed. A 7 foot square cabin is the standard model with options to enlarge the cabin and add a wrap around deck available.
Materials (all wood is cedar):
Legs
4 8x8 leg timbers
4 sets of 4x6 braces
4 4x6 timbers (headers)
(Lag screws are used to attach)
Cabin
4 6x6 posts
8 4x6 headers and rails
Rafters (various lengths)
Six quarter flooring
One-inch roof sheathing
